Fermentation took place in 1.5-ton open-top fermenters, allowing for 15 days of skin contact to extract deep color and rich tannins. This Syrah was then aged in 75% new French oak, offering bold oak influence, but carefully balanced to let the fruit take center stage. Syrah, known for its robust structure, can handle this level of oak without being overwhelmed.
